The Food Stalls at The Grenfell Henry Lawson Festival of the Arts offer a diversity of flavours to cater for everyone’s palette. The variety of food experiences from chocolate to donuts to heavenly hamburgers provide a rich vibrant tempting atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Expressions of Interest will close May 14th 2023, and accepted Stalls will be announced and notified no later than May 15th 2023.
Fees will be payable by 28th May, 2023.

Please complete the General Market Stall form or the Food Stall form as appropriate.

Timing:

Friday Market Night – 9th June 2023

·         Set up: 3.00pm-4.00pm.

·         Stall trading: 4.00pm-8.00pm.

·         Pack down: 8.00pm-9.00pm

Saturday Street Stalls – 10th June 2023

·         Set up: 7am-9am.

·         Stall trading: 9am-4pm.

·         Pack down: 4pm-5pm

Sunday Main Street Stalls – 11th June 2023

·         Set up: 8am-9am.

·         Stall trading: 9am-3pm.

·         Pack down: 3pm-4pm

Arrival:

Please check in with the coordinator at Visitor Information Centre, 88 Main Street, from 7am and receive the information on your stall location. Locations will not be provided before this time.

DO NOT SET UP YOUR STALL UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY ADVISED OF YOUR ALLOCTED POSITION. Any stallholder not complying will be asked to leave.

Power:

There will be no powered street sites offered at the 2022 Festival. If you wish to use a generator, please note this on your application. Sites available for generator use are limited. All leads used must be Tagged and Tested by an approved authority. All cables and leads must be taped down with strong, waterproof tape.

Departure:

Vehicles will be allowed back to sites from 4pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday. Please make sure your site is left clean and tidy – no oil spills, food scraps, rubbish etc

Food:

Food stall operators must comply with the guidelines published by NSW Food Authority. Refer to this website:  temp_events_guideline.pdf (nsw.gov.au)

A temporary event is “any occasion which is not permanent in nature, where food is sold or offered for sale to consumers.

Examples include fairs, markets and shows.
A checklist has been developed to assist enforcement officers identify these risk factors during the inspection of a stall. It focuses on key handling practices and risk factors likely to contribute to food borne illness in a temporary event setting. Please make yourself aware of these regulations. There will be inspections.

Fees:

Friday Street Site: 3m x 3m (or part thereof): $60

Saturday Street Site: 3m x 3m (or part thereof): $90

Sunday Street Site: 3m x 3m (or part thereof): $60

Payment Options:

Payment is not required until your application is approved.

Payment is to be made through the completion of the Market Stall Applications.

Terms & Conditions

Sites:

The coordinator reserves the right to determine your stall location. Every effort will be made to comply with requests, however sometimes this is not possible. The Festival may or may not be based in Main Street this year, but street stalls will still be a major part of the street party. Similar stalls will be limited and dispersed to provide variety for the patrons.

All sites are 3m x 3m. If you need a bigger site, please indicate the size required on the application form. Please also indicate if you have a vehicle or trailer that needs to stay at the stall.

Tables, Chairs, Power leads, Gazebos will not be provided by the Festival. All vehicles / trailers are to be removed from the site by 9am unless approved.
Second -hand goods are restricted to collectables, (bottles, stamps, cards etc), books (no magazines), vinyl records and quality bric-a-brac.

Pegs / spikes / weights etc for marques / gazebos must be wrapped or protected and must not present a tripping or falling danger to the public. Please indicate on your application if you wish to use a gazebo or marque.

Signs must not present a danger to the public. Permission must be arranged to attach anything to shopfronts

Insurance:

All stall holders must have their own public liability insurance for $20 million and send a copy with their application. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Applications submitted with anything other than $20million will not be considered.
