The Grenfell Showground has been home to many local events and annual shows for many years. This is the first large concert to be staged in the grounds, so The Henry Lawson Festival of the Arts committee are very conscious of our role in maintaining this valuable community resource. We are very mindful of the impact that an event of this size and nature can have on the land and facilities.
Thus, we are ensuring:
- They capture all recyclable waste material
- Offer opportunities for community organisations to benefit from recycling
- The Girl Guides are collecting all bottles
- Requesting all Food vendors and providers use recyclable or biodegradable containers and packaging
- Employ practices that minimise waste
- Provide adequate well maintained sanitation services.
